AAA Four Diamond Award

The property has been a main stay of the Bermuda hotel scene since the early 1900’s. Over the years the infrastructure and operating performance of the property had deteriorated due to mismanagement by the prior owner / operator.

Retained, after purchase by the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia, to re-engineer of this 90-year old resort on the Island of Bermuda and develop a master plan to re-establish the property as a deluxe destination resort competitive in the international market. Managed all aspects of a $45 million renovation requiring the total reconditioning of the entire existing property infrastructure and, due to the constraints of the local labor market, required eight contractors. In addition implemented a complete upgrading of staff services and training, guest amenities and all hotel facilities.

The resort earned a AAA Four-Diamond Award for the first time in its history. This designation by the AAA was the first time a new Four Diamond Award had be given out to a Bermuda property since 1980.
